March 2002

Yeah, I know I’m late with this week’s edition of the Friday Five. It’s Dayv’s fault really. After moving my site over to a new, faster server, he forgot to give me access to my cgi-bin, that bloody wanker ;)

So, without further adieu,

1. What is your favorite time of year? Spring. Most definitely spring.

2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season? Spring, to me symbolizes a rebirth. Flowers bloom, birds sing, and the rain finally stops. Sunlight reigns and there’s a crisp, wonderful smell in the air.

3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why? Winter. Winter in the Bay Area sucks beyond all belief. It’s three months of cloudy, cold, rainy weather. No snow! Winter without snow…blasphemy.

4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons? No. Not really. There’s really no change in seasons out here. It’s weird.

5. What’s your favorite thing to do outside? Sitting on the grass, reading a nice book, enjoying the sunshine.

In an effort to force myself to post more, here are my answers to the Friday Five.

1. What’s your favorite animal? I’m not sure if I have a favorite animal, but I do adore my cats.

2. What pets have you had in your lifetime? My two cats (Mikey and Mocha Joe) and lots of fish

3. Is there any specific pet that you’ve wanted but never had? Why? Well, I’d like to have a dog too, but my complex doesn’t allow it. Plus, I’m not home much during the day, so I don’t think that’s possible. A feret would be cool too, but California doesn’t allow them.

4. Are you allergic to any animals? I don’t think so.

5. Do you have any ‘pet’ pet peeves (your pets or others’)? I hate it when people don’t clean up after they’re dogs. There’s nothing more nasty than stepping in dog poop. As for my pets, I hate it when my fish die. And when Mikey decides to chew and scratch up my papers that I accidentally leave on the floor.

Here’s a little update.

I’m sorry I haven’t written in a very long time. Things have been kind of hectic for me. Work has been super busy, so when I come home from work, I’m usually beat. I’ve been busy doing stuff for my apartment, dealing with the bastards who are AT&T. Plus, I’m trying to migrate this blog over to use Moveable Type from Greymatter. Hopefully the new system will allow me to be more diligent in my postings. My goal is to work out some system whereby I can queue up a whole bunch of posts and have some automated way to releasing them. We’ll see.
