August 2002

This is dedicated to you:

I’m cuddling close
To blankets and sheets
But you’re not alone, and you’re not discreet
Make sure I know who’s taking you home.

I’m reading your note over again
There’s not a word that I comprehend,
Except when you signed it
“I will love you always and forever.”

I’m missing your laugh
How did it break?
And when did your eyes begin to look fake?
I hope you’re as happy as you ‘re pretending.

Wow, one where I actually have to think…

1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not? Systems Engineer. This is exactly where I wanted to be. Great job, cool technology, wacky coworkers.

2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be? Oh, yeesh. This changes daily. My friends and I used to joke that working at Eat’n Park would be the easiest job in the world.

3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices? Dad: Systems engineer, Mom: lab tech. I’ve wanted to be an engineer for as long as I can remember. My dad brought home the coolest stuff.

4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family? Nope. Not at that point in my life right now.

5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why? Hmm, my Eat’n Park answer prolly fits best here. The hardest job in my opinion is a High School teacher. Overworked, underpaid, underappreciated. I have a lot of respect for teachers.

Hold no expectations and you’ll never be disappointed…

There’s something about farts that seems to make me giggle like a little schoolgirl.

In fact, I have to rip one right…

Nevermind :)

According to this survey I am:

32% addicted to Instant Messenger

Woo! My coworker is 71% addicted. Scary, eh?
