I got this political compass quiz from shelle.

This is my score:

Economic Left/Right: -1.50
Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.85

Hmm, just like the Pope. Interesting, but not terribly surprising :)

I know that some people say that if you look into the toilet bowl after flushing it means that you really suffer from seperation anxiety and that the site of the porcelain princess sucking down your tidbits is a result of an innate attachment to mommy, but would it kill you to look just to check to see that all yer crap is flushed down??

Add that site to the warm seat and well, it doesn’t make for a pleasant crapping experience…

A few tidbits to help you get through this (ugh) Monday morning…

  • So Friday was Halloween, right? I skipped out on Bret and Melanie’s party because I promised someone (yeah, you) that I’d stay home to give out candy to the kids. So after bringing the kitties to the vet and back home, I light my puking pumpkin outside, turn the entrance light on and flop down on the couch with my TiVo remote in hand ready to go. This meanwhile was like…6.30pm. 7pm, no one at the door. This in itself isn’t odd, but still strange. 7.30pm. 8pm. 8.30pm still no one. WTF. I got NO kids at my door that night. None. Nada. Zilch. So now I have a whole bag of halloween candy to take care of. Humbug.
  • How could I NOT have known about this until today?! OMG OMG OMG OMG. It’s gonna be awesome (I hope). The Iliad was one of my favorite books I read last year and hopefully the movie will do it justice (though I am NOT holding my expectations high). I wonder if they’re planning on doing just the parts on described in The Iliad or if they’ll cover the entire war from Helen’s kidnapping to the Trojan Horse (which was described in The Aenid so well by Virgil through Aeneas. Anyways, I’m stoked. I’m sure the motwm crew is gonna eat this up.
  • It finally feels like fall out here. The temperature last week was totally fucked up. It was mid-90s the beginning of the week (+30 degrees ‘bove normal) and dipped down into the upper 50s for Halloween. I love the smell of fall in the air. The smell of the fresh rain. Ahh. Plus, I need it to get cold so my daffodils and narcissus will begin to grow. My lillies are sprouting already and my snapdragons are still blooming. It was butt-ass cold this morning but now I’m all warm and comfy.

Until next time…
